The soldiers from opposing sides killed in battles near the River Mazā Jugla at the beginning of September 1917 were buried in several parts of the cemetery: 188 German soldiers were buried in the central part of the cemetery, while 213 soldiers from the Siberia Riflemen Division and Latvian Riflemen from the 8th Valmiera Regiment of the Russian Army were buried on the left side.
