Since July, in our Municipality guests are hosted by ‘ForRest’ guest house, which has been set up and offered by the new owners of the ‘Baltsēkļi’.
The guest house is well-equipped with all amenities and can comfortably accommodate families or groups of up to 4 persons.
In addition, there is a very quiet area surrounded by woods on one side, both for walks and for setting up tents in case of larger groups.
‘ForRest’ has a terrace and barbecue facilities. Guests, visiting in the hot season, have private access to a place for swimming in the Daugava River with a wooden bench and a footbridge.
The house is spacious and ideal for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful charm of Dole Island. The downstairs kitchen is equipped with an induction cooker, sink, fridge, tea or coffee maker and crockery. There is a sleeping area for two on the second level, accessed by a ladder.
The living area has a stove-fireplace, a table with chairs for meals, several armchairs, and a large sofa bed for two more people. The owners provide bed linen and towels. Guests can play the board games on offer, use the fireplace heater. There is also a children’s toy and book shelf.
The bathroom has a shower and toilet, guests can use the towels provided.
Wi-fi is not yet available.
The guest house is offered the whole year round. The warmth is maintained and regulated by underfloor heating at any time of the year.
‘ForRest’ guest house is located on private grounds and the owners live next door, but guests are offered separate access. The area in front of the guest house’s terrace with a separate exit is at guests’ sole use during their stay.
